Fire-brand politician, Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong has expressed great remorse over how members of TESCON were badly treated by the leadership of NPP when the party was in power.

Speaking at TESCON General Meeting and Freshers Orientation at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology on Sunday, he recalled a meeting he had at Kintampo last month with members of the NPP student wing.

He said at the meeting, the “students lamented over how NPP treated TESCON when the party was in power.”

Hon. Kennedy said he pleaded on behalf of the party for forgiveness when the issue was raised at the meeting.

Addressing members at KNUST last Sunday, he did same, saying “I sincerely apologize for whatever we did to TESCON”.

“All is not lost.
Do not think that we are in opposition and therefore you are going to join a party in power.

They (NDCs) have nothing to offer. Stay where you are. Have confidence in the party.

Nobody should loose hope and decide to join TEIN or other political fraternities”, he challenged.

Amidst gestures of humility, the maverick politician mentioned that NPP NEC has learnt mistakes it committed, a reason for the party’s humiliating defeat during the 2024 general elections.

“This is the time we have to sit back and reflect solemnly on all the mistakes we made.”
