In light of highlife legend Daddy Lumba’s passing, a new phase of healing and reconciliation seems to be beginning.

Over the weekend, the family leader (Abusuapanin) of the late Charles Kwadwo Fosu made a sincere visit to the widow of the deceased, seeking forgiveness and addressing recent tensions that had surfaced on social media.

During a serious interaction shared on social platforms, Abusuapanin offered an olive branch to the late musician’s wife, recognizing the strain that recent events may have caused.
“Come on, come on… I’m sorry,” he repeated throughout the meeting, emphasizing that the misunderstandings were never intended to disrespect her or the memory of the late icon.

Earlier, social media was filled with speculation about a rift between Lumba’s extended family and his widow. Unverified reports and emotionally charged posts suggested disagreements over funeral arrangements, property, and long-standing family dynamics. These reports generated significant public interest, with fans calling for unity and dignity as the family prepared for the legend’s final farewell.
In response to that intense online scrutiny, Abusuapanin’s visit was a meaningful gesture. He acknowledged that things were said and done in the heat of emotion, and some of the family’s actions might have been misunderstood or mishandled.
He pointed to misleading social media narratives as a key reason for the rising tensions, stating, “It’s not everything you see online that is the full truth.”
In a heartfelt moment, he told Lumba’s widow, “You are family. No matter what happened, you remain part of us. Let’s move forward in peace and honor the man we all loved.”
Shortly after the visit, close family associates confirmed that both parties have agreed to resolve any remaining issues. There are also plans for a joint press statement to address the public, reaffirm family unity, and clarify funeral details.
