Honourable Ken Ohene Agyapong has once again demonstrated his commitment to unity and generosity by donating 336 bags of rice (50kg each) and 500 bags of rice (5kg each) to Muslim communities across Ghana in celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr.
This annual tradition underscores his dedication to supporting faith-based communities and fostering national unity.
For over a decade, Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong has consistently provided aid to the Muslim faithful during Ramadan and Eid, ensuring that families can celebrate with dignity and joy. His donations are more than acts of charity; they represent a deep-seated commitment to inclusivity and social responsibility.
Speaking at the donation event, he emphasised the importance of national cohesion, stating, “Ghana is not divided by faith—we are united by our shared humanity. Whether Muslim, Christian, or traditionalist, it is our duty to uphold the values of peace, unity, and dignity.”
Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong also shared a personal reflection, highlighting his strong ties with the Muslim community. “In my own family, we have both Christians and Muslims. I was raised with a deep respect for both faiths, and I have always valued the warmth and loyalty of my Muslim brothers and sisters.”
The donation was carefully coordinated through Muslim leaders, Zongo community elders, and youth groups to ensure it reached those in need. Families from urban centres to remote villages benefited from this generous act, making the Eid celebration more meaningful for many.
The Imam and elders present expressed their gratitude, offering prayers for Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong, asking for divine protection, strength, and wisdom in his leadership. The atmosphere was filled with unity and appreciation, reflecting the spirit of Eid.
