A young man who was heaping praises on businessman Kwaku Oteng at the state funeral in relation to the Obuasi helicopter crash victims, was seriously embarrassed by a soldier.

A soldier on duty screamed at the hypeman and dismissed him as the overzealous man approached a barrier at the venue.

The video of the hypeman and soldier’s encounter has sparked mixed reactions on social media, as many make fun of the hypeman.

Kwaku Oteng was one of the dignitaries who attended the funeral of the late Defence Minister, Dr Edward Omane Boamah, and seven others at the Black Star Square in Accra.

Upon his arrival, a man, whose identity is still unknown, followed the Angel and Adonko owner, shouting his accolades in the crowd.

“May God shower rains of blessings on you. Thousand years, no puncture. Kwaku Oteng, the destiny changer, may you live long,” he said, among other things.

As he continued hyping in an “Appiah Stadium” fashion, a soldier, who was manning a barrier to regulate entries into the arena, shut him up.

“My friend, stop that! You are making noise!” the soldier screamed at the hypeman. Upon hearing the soldier shout with fury, the hypeman just turned around and walked away without uttering a word or looking back.
