The Member of Parliament for Kwadaso and former Deputy Minister of Education (TVET), Hon. Prof. Kingsley Nyarko, recently honored an invitation to meet with the Atwima Tekyiman-Tanoso-Denchemuoso (TTD) Landlords Association. The meeting, held at the Amin College of Health Sciences, brought together residents committed to advancing the development and well-being of their communities.
During the engagement, the association presented a range of pressing concerns, including deteriorating road networks, inadequate drainage systems, damaged bridges, and persistent security issues.
In his response, Prof. Nyarko praised the association for its unity and dedication to community progress. He emphasized that collaborative efforts between residents and leadership are essential to addressing local challenges effectively.
While acknowledging the difficulties raised, the MP also took the opportunity to highlight key milestones achieved under his leadership. He noted his instrumental role in the establishment and accreditation of the Amin College of Health Sciences during his tenure as Executive Secretary of the National Accreditation Board (NAB). The institution, he remarked, has become a valuable asset, bringing recognition and opportunity to the area.
Addressing concerns about roads and bridges, Prof. Nyarko assured residents that he has been actively engaging with relevant authorities. He mentioned his discussions with the new Director of Urban Roads and confirmed that both the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) and the director had recently toured the municipality to assess infrastructure needs. He relayed assurances from the director that work on broken bridges would begin soon, and that key road projects in the area had been prioritized.
Prof. Nyarko emphasized that while road infrastructure projects are capital-intensive and cannot be funded solely from an MP’s personal resources, he remains committed to lobbying for the necessary support. He urged residents to maintain their cooperation and patience, assuring them that their concerns would be addressed systematically.
His presence and remarks left attendees encouraged, fostering renewed optimism for the future development of the community.
Also in attendance were the Municipal Chief Executive, the Assembly Member for the electoral area, executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the constituency, and staff from the Office of the Member of Parliament.
