The discussions focused on boosting public safety and making the market more accessible and convenient for both traders and customers.

This stakeholder engagement is part of the AMA’s broader consultative approach to urban development. It brought together key figures from the market community, including Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Johnson Djan-Yeboah of the Railways District, Samuel Amoah (Vice President of the Kantamanto Obroni Wawu Association), Michael Oppong, also known as “Honourable” (Chairman of the Used Clothes Sellers Association), and Adutwum Atta Manu, who serves as both Market Manager and Secretary.

In his remarks, Mayor Allotey reaffirmed his commitment to transforming the market environment through infrastructure upgrades and essential service improvements. He emphasized that these efforts are aimed at ensuring a safer, more efficient space for business operations.
