GNACOPS’ Nationwide Tour of Private Schools In Ghana; Executive Director Enoch Gyetuah Writes..
On July 15th, I embarked on a nationwide tour to engage with private schools, gather firsthand information, and address challenges at the up and coming Annual Educational Leadership Summit-2024. The tour kicked off in the Eastern Region, where he visited schools in Nsawam, Akropong, and Somanya zones.
During the tour, an announcement of a landmark partnership between the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) and GNACOPS was made, aimed at promoting teacher professional development. This strategic collaboration seeks to enhance the capacity of private school teachers and administrators ensuring they are equipped with the latest methodologies, technologies, and best practices to deliver high-quality education.
The tour revealed a strong desire for collaborative efforts to enhance private education in Ghana. Participants appreciated the opportunities for knowledge sharing and networking, and welcomed the MOU with UEW as a significant step towards professional growth. The e-learning platform solutions and ICT training were also seen as vital for curriculum delivery and student engagement.
Members raised concerns about regulatory frameworks, funding, and stakeholder engagement, calling for collaborative efforts to address these challenges. Overall, the tour highlighted the importance of collective action in addressing challenges and shaping the future of private education in Ghana.
Thank you to all participants for your valuable contributions! Your insights will shape the future of private education in Ghana. Stay tuned for updates on the upcoming Annual Summit.
