Ghana’s Roads Minister Hon. Francis Asenso-Boakye received in his office, Madam Suzuki Momoko, the Country Director of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) on Wednesday 17th April 2024.
The meeting centred on discussing issues aimed at deepening cooperation between the duo on road infrastructure development.
It also focused on key Japanese government-led interventions in the roads sector in Ghana, including the Tema Motorway Interchange Phase 1 & 2; Rehabilitation of the National Trunk Road (N8) – Phase 2 (Assin Praso – Assin Fosu); Kumasi Roundabout project; Technical Assistance for Capacity Building for Road and Bridge management for engineers of the Ministry and its agencies, among others.
While expressing Ghana’s gratitude to the Japanese government and people, Hon. Asenso-Boakye reiterated Ghana’s commitment, under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, to foster close collaboration with JICA for our collective benefits.
