In a powerful show of diplomacy and Pan-African unity, Ghana’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, stole the spotlight at the 14th Annual Pan-African Global Trade and Investment Conference in Delaware, USA, delivering a keynote address that resonated across continents.

From the moment he took the stage, Hon. Ablakwa captivated the international audience with a bold vision for Africa’s economic future, championing stronger trade ties, diaspora collaboration, and a new era of transatlantic partnership.

But the conference wasn’t just about speeches. It was history in the making. Hon. Ablakwa met with Dr. Julius Garvey, the son of the legendary Marcus Mosiah Garvey, a towering figure in Pan-African thought and global Black empowerment.

“It was such an inspiration,” the Minister shared on his official Facebook page, calling the moment unforgettable.

Adding more weight to the trip, Hon. Ablakwa held high-level talks with Delaware Governor Matt Meyer. The outcome? A game-changing commitment to pursue a strategic partnership between Ghana’s Tema Port and the Port of Wilmington, a potential trade route that could redefine Africa–U.S. commerce.
“This is more than diplomacy. It’s a movement,” Ablakwa stated, expressing his gratitude to the Center for Global Africa and the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) for the prestigious invitation.
With Ghana at the forefront of Africa’s global engagement strategy, Ablakwa’s commanding presence in Delaware signals a rising momentum; one where the African continent is not just participating on the world stage, but leading.
