The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MoGCSP) has brought together key stakeholders for its Fourth Quarter Ministerial Advisory Board Meeting, focusing on progress made and charting new strategies to deepen social protection, gender equity, and child welfare efforts in Ghana.

The Ministerial Advisory Board, a statutory body established under the Civil Service Act, 1993 (PNDCL 327) and strengthened by L.I. 1961, plays a vital role in shaping national policy. It serves as a bridge between the Ministry and its partners, ensuring that strategies remain inclusive, responsive, and aligned with Ghana’s broader development goals.

In her remarks, the Minister, Hon. Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, highlighted the Ministry’s achievements while calling for renewed commitment to addressing the evolving needs of vulnerable groups. She stressed that the Ministry’s impact depends not only on sound policy but also on the quality of collaboration across sectors.

“As a Ministry positioned at the center of social transformation, our ability to make meaningful change lies in the partnerships we cultivate and the policy direction we pursue,” she stated.

Board members reviewed key milestones and examined emerging trends affecting gender, children, and social protection sectors. The meeting also featured a comprehensive presentation of the Ministry’s recent accomplishments, laying the groundwork for strategic actions in the coming year.

The engagement reinforced the Ministry’s dedication to inclusive governance, evidence-based policy, and proactive stakeholder involvement as it works to build a more equitable and protective society for all.
