The General Overseer of Open Arms Ministry, St. Sark has urged President John Dramani Mahama to withdraw the appointment of George Opare-Addo, Minister designate for Youth Development and Employment with immediate effect.

St. Sark is unhappy with Opare’s membership with the freemason fraternity, which he openly acknowledged when he appeared before Parliament’s Appointment Committee on January 22, 2025.

Before the committee, George Opare-Addo addressed question which was posed to him by Hon. Afenyo Markin about his affiliation, affirming the values and principles he has embraced through the organization.

“Yes, I am a Freemason”, he answered.

Answering a question on who he places his trust in, he responded, “The grand architect of the universe”, a phrase commonly associated with Freemasonry’s Spirit philosophy.

In his usual TickTock broadcast on Sunday, St. Sark said George Opare’s association with the Freemason and disclosure of his membership with the society, is “an act of foolishness”.

“You acted foolishly”, St. Sark blasted George Opare.

Outspoken clergy, St. Sark said, owing to Opare’s masonry affiliation, President John Dramani Mahama should not entertain him for Ministerial post.

“Mahama should withdraw George Opare’s appointment immediately. We don’t need him in anything related to governance.

Opare must understand that he cannot be a Minister whiles he remains a member of Freemason.”

St. Sark said alternatively, George Opare should give up the appointment or tell President Mahama that he is no more interested in the appointment.”

“Great wrath of GOD awaits him if he doesn’t.”

Per the assertion of the Kumasi-based clergy, all freemasons are wicked and have no sympathy for humanity.

“They are insensitive and wicked. They kill and drink human blood like water. Opare cannot become a Minister of state or serve in any state agency.”
