The Minister for Energy, Hon. John Abdulai Jinapor, has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring a stable and uninterrupted power supply across the country.

In a statement shared on his official Facebook page today, Mr. Jinapor announced that he convened a high-level meeting this morning with key stakeholders in the power sector.

The purpose of the meeting was to assess the current state of the national power supply and to strategise on measures to meet future energy demands.
“The primary objective of the meeting was to ensure a consistent and reliable power supply for all consumers,” the Minister said. “Our goal is simple; to keep the lights on in line with the government’s commitment to maintaining a stable and uninterrupted electricity supply.”

According to the statement, the discussions focused on reviewing progress made so far, identifying ongoing challenges within the sector, analysing future demand projections, and advancing the implementation of long-term strategic plans.
The meeting forms part of a broader government effort to strengthen the energy sector, support economic growth, and improve the quality of life for citizens by avoiding power outages and enhancing grid reliability.
Further updates are expected as the Ministry continues to engage with relevant stakeholders to monitor the situation and implement actionable solutions.
