Ekow Assafuah Foundation has donated packed meals to two thousand inmates at the Kumasi Central Prisons.

It happened in the morning of Thursday, 27th March, 2025.

The foundation carried out the gesture through a collaboration with officials of JOFEL Catering Services
Limited.

Member of Parliament for Tafo constitutency, Hon. Vincent Ekow Assefuah who doubles as the founder of the foundation presented the items to the prison officers at the forecourt of the prison.

He told newsmen, that the foundation has for ten years offered support to the inmates.

Aside feeding inmates, he indicated that the leadership of Ekow Assafuah Foundation is also pushing hard to get legal representation for the inmates.

Considering their huge population, the MP said they saw it needful to join hands with JOFEL Catering Services so as to feed them adequately.

Dr. Mrs. Felicia Danquah, Vice President of JOFEL Catering Services mentioned that her outfit is always passionate about supporting the vulnerable in society and therefore saw the need to collaborate with the foundation.

She indicated that since 2008, JOFEL has been supporting Kumasi Central Prisons.

She recalled how JOFEL consistently provided the prisons liquified Petroleum gas (LPG) for 18 months aside the provision of packed food to the inmates.

“We are doing this because assisting the vulnerable in society is our heartbeat.”
