Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe known as Abronye DC believes the voting process in the Ejisu By-election is unfair.
He says the system has been made to favor one candidate who is the favorite of the Constituency Chairman.
Kwame Baffoe who spoke to the media said “The process is not fair. Every election that has to do with delegates starts with zonal areas, then electoral areas. But that has not been the case with this election.
The constituency chairman who is part of the election committee is following one of the candidates and he has conspired with the Electoral Commission to do this. But we will monitor the elections keenly,” he said.
Abronye’s wife is one of the contestants in the election.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is going to the polls today to elect a Parliamentary candidate for the Ejisu Constituency.
Nine candidates are contesting the election which will see 1081 delegates voting.
The Ejisu seat became vacant after the Member of Parliament, Dr John Kumah died on March 7, 2024.
