

The Minister for Education, Honourable Haruna Iddrisu has visited the Zebilla Senior High Technical and ZAMSTEC centres for the West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region.


The visit is to assess the impact of the conflict on education and learning environment and forms part of his effort to ensure peace prevails in the conflict areas.

Hon. Iddrisu appealed to stakeholders to ensure peace prevails for Education can only be conducive when peace and harmony exist.

“Without peace, classrooms fall silent,” Hon. Iddrisu lamented.
The Minister further encouraged the candidates not to be perturbed by the conflict but rather concentrate on their studies which will yield substantial benefit in the end.
