Ghana’s Minister for Education, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, joined dignitaries and mourners in Bole over the weekend to pay their final respects to the late Mr. Malik Dramani Mahama, brother of President John Dramani Mahama.
In a statement shared on his official Facebook page, Hon. Iddrisu revealed that he had the honour of representing President Mahama at the solemn event.
He was accompanied by the National Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the Member of Parliament for Bole-Bamboi, the Savannah Regional Minister, and the Chairman of the NDC’s UK & Ireland Chapter.
The final funeral rites, held in Bole in the Savannah Region, brought together party officials, government representatives, and members of the community to mourn the late Mr. Malik Dramani Mahama and offer support to the Mahama family.
The Education Minister’s presence underscored the deep respect and solidarity within the NDC and the wider Ghanaian political community during a period of personal loss for the President.
Mr. Malik Dramani Mahama’s passing marks a profound moment for the Mahama family and the people of Bole, where he was well known and respected.
