Ghana’s Energy Minister Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh Writes…

At the Ghana country spotlight event marking the conclusion of my participation at AEF 2024, I emphasized the need for significant investment in Ghana’s renewable energy sector to achieve our goal of 10% renewable energy in the national electricity generation mix by 2030.

I highlighted the country’s target to expand renewable energy sources and introduce nuclear and other clean energy forms as outlined in our energy transition framework.

I urged investors to seize the opportunities available in this sector, as Ghana is ready to collaborate with them.

I am confident that our discussions at this conference will once again, bring about the necessary outcomes for the growth and prosperity of Ghana’s energy sector.
