On October 21, 2024, Dr. Fatima Maada Bio, First Lady of Sierra Leone, visited Holdman Studios in Lehi, Utah, where she met First Lady of Utah, Abby Cox, and esteemed glass artist, Tom Holdman.
First Lady Cox, a passionate advocate for specialized education and quality foster care, expressed her delight in meeting Dr. Bio. She highlighted the significance of the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act in Sierra Leone and shared commendations on Dr. Fatima Maada Bio’s achievements at the UK Parliament’s House of Commons.

Tom Holdman, known for his stunning stained-glass works, including those in the Orem City Library and the Roots of Knowledge at Utah Valley University, provided insights into Dr. Bio’s impactful contributions to society.
Dr. Bio’s visit fostered a memorable exchange of artistry and commitment, as both First Ladies witnessed Holdman’s breathtaking stained-glass creations. This visit was climaxed by an invitation to Dr. Bio, where she participated in crafting one of the unique glass pieces, marking a significant collaboration between the artists and leaders.
