In a bold move toward the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Bryan Acheampong has announced his intention to officially file his nomination to contest as the party’s presidential candidate.
The filing is scheduled for Wednesday, August 27 at 4:00 PM at the NPP Headquarters in Accra.
In a statement released ahead of the event, Dr. Acheampong declared the moment as a transition “from vision to action,” signaling a new phase in his campaign to lead the party into the 2028 general elections.
“This is our moment,” he stated. “A call to unite. A call to rebuild. A call to victory.”
Dr. Acheampong’s message emphasized unity and renewal within the party as he positions himself as a frontrunner in the race to succeed the current leadership. His campaign has so far focused on innovation, party cohesion, and a forward-looking agenda for national development.
Party faithful, supporters, and members of the media are expected to converge at the headquarters to witness the event, which marks a significant step in what promises to be a competitive race for the NPP flagbearership.
