The Chief of Asante Dawu, Nana Kofi Frimpong Ababio has built an ICT library worth a little over GHs100,000 for the public basic school in his community.

At his own expense, he has also equipped the facility with 8 desktop computers, tables and chairs.

The aim is to enhance the knowledge of students in ICT and ultimately upgrade the standard of education of residents of Dawu community.

The gesture is on record to be a top up to previous supports the school has gained from Nana Kofi Frimpong Ababio since he became Chief for the community.

Commissioning of the facility was done on Friday, 29th November, 2024 and was witnessed by the District Chief Executive for the Sekyere South, Madam Catherine Reckling, officials from the district education directorate, Member of Parliament for the area Hon. Mavis Nkansah Boadu, etc.

The Chief said in his address at the commission that education is his heartbeat.

He said for that reason, he commenced supporting the community even before he became Chief for the area.

He recalled renovation works has done in the school and a number of computers he donated to the school.

Naming the library after his predecessor Nana Kofi Frimpong 1, the Chief urged students and residents to make effective utilization of the facility and ensure a culture of maintenance.
