The leadership of the Canada Ghana Chamber of Commerce (CGCC) has paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Country Manager of Newmont Corporation, Mr. Danquah Addo-Yobo, to formally welcome him into his new role.
Mr. Addo-Yobo, whose organization is a proud Platinum Member of the Chamber, received the delegation led by the President of the Chamber, Mrs. Linda K. Vasnani (FCILT).
She was accompanied by the Vice President, Mr. Edward Wiafe, and the Executive Secretary, Mrs. Edwina Atta-Sonno.
The visit provided an opportunity for the Chamber to express its appreciation to Newmont for its consistent support and active engagement with the Chamber throughout the year.
Discussions also focused on gaining deeper insights into Newmont’s operations, strategic direction, and ongoing contributions to Ghana’s mining sector and economic development.
During the engagement, the Chamber reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening its collaboration with Newmont and pledged continued support, particularly in facilitating Canadian partnerships and promoting cross-border business engagements.
The visit underscored the strong relationship between the Canada Ghana Chamber of Commerce and Newmont Corporation, as well as their shared commitment to fostering sustainable business growth and mutually beneficial partnerships between Ghana and Canada.
