In a fiery and unapologetic takedown of critics, Member of Parliamentary for Kwadaso Constituency, Prof. Kingsley Nyarko, has come out swinging, obliterating claims that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is to blame for the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) defeat in the 2024 elections.

Speaking during a charged gathering of party faithful in one of Dr. Bawumia’s ongoing zonal constituency executives engagement in Ashanti region , Prof. Nyarko did not mince words.

“I will never agree with anyone who says Bawumia caused our defeat. That claim is baseless, senseless, and completely misguided!”

According to him, the NPP didn’t just enter the 2024 elections with high hopes. They went in with a full arsenal of parliamentary candidates. Yet, despite this massive slate, the party saw a staggering drop in seats, sliding from 138 down to just 87.

“If all those candidates had won or even maintained our 138 seats and we still lost, then maybe you could argue. But dropping to 87? And you still blame one man? That’s not logic. That’s political laziness,” he blasted.
Turning up the heat, Prof. Nyarko accused Bawumia’s loudest critics of being opportunists who only wanted power for their own gain.
“The very people pointing fingers now would be the first in line for juicy government positions if we had won. Where were their voices then?”
Despite the party’s sharp decline in parliamentary seats, Prof. Nyarko struck a note of hope and defiance.
“God will use these few 87 seats to humiliate the so-called majority in the 2028 elections. Mark my words!”
Capping off his no-holds-barred speech, Prof. Nyarko made a passionate vow of allegiance to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia .
“I, Kingsley Nyarko, stand firmly by your side, Dr. Bawumia. And I’ll be with you till the day you win the presidency. No turning back!”
With emotions running high and tensions flaring within the NPP, Prof. Nyarko’s explosive defense of Dr. Bawumia has added fuel to the fire and the political battlefield is only getting hotter.
