The Minister for Roads and Highways Hon Francis Asenso- Boakye has assured residents of Bibiani that contractor will move to site within July  to complete the Estate town roads.

The revelation was made during a tour of the Western North Region and the inspection of road projects in Bibiani. The inspection took the Minister and his entourage to Bibiani Old Town Diversion, Mota-Nsuontem- Adjeinia- Lineso bypass, Praga and Estate roads.

According to the Roads Minister, the Estate road contract was awarded to a Chinese company but the project was abandoned hence the need to award the project to a different contractor. “Based on the abysmal performance of the Chinese company, the contract has been terminated and awarded to a different contractor”, the road Minister indicated. Hon Asenso-Boakye revealed that this development was made known to him through the action-oriented MP, Hon Alfred Obeng-Boateng.

He urged the constituents of Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai to rally solidly behind the NPP by casting their votes for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Hon Alfred Obeng-Boateng in the December 7 polls.

Additionally, the Minister, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring the timely completion of ongoing road projects across the country.

The event was graced by the Western North Regional Minister, Hon Richard Ebbah Obeng. Echoing his commitment, the regional Minister assured citizens of the Region of the government’s support in facilitating the timely completion of ongoing projects.

The self-motivated Member of Parliament for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai, Hon Alfred Obeng-Boateng expressed appreciation to the Roads Minister for taking time off his busy schedule to tour the Western North Region at large and Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality in particular for first-hand information on the road network. He emphasized the constituents commitment to vote massively for NPP in December polls. The MP reiterated that the Minister’s visit was a testament to the government’s commitment to attending to the needs of the people. He added that Awaso town roads and Adupri to Tanoso road will receive bituminous surfacing before the elections.

The inspection team comprised Hon Alexander Ampaabeng, Deputy Finance Minister, NPP Regional Chairman, Mr Benjamin Armah, the Regional Director of Feeder Roads, the Regional Director of Urban Roads, Mr Sephie Manager, Anyways Solutions Ltd, Hon Paul Andoh MCE for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai, Mr. Felix Foster Ackah, Regional Secretary, NPP, Mr. Samuel Kofi Abiaw, Regional Research and Elections Office, NPP. Others were Constituency Executives, Electoral Area Coordinators, and Assembly Members.
