Member of Parliament for Bantama Constituency, Francis Asenso-Boakye, has called for unity and peaceful coexistence among residents as Muslims across the area marked Eid.

In a statement shared on his official Facebook page after joining Muslim communities at Ohwim and Bohyen for the celebrations, the lawmaker said the occasion serves as a reminder of the shared values needed to build strong and harmonious communities.

The MP, who was accompanied by executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the constituency, described Eid as a sacred period of gratitude, sacrifice, and devotion to Allah.

He noted that beyond its religious significance, the festival reinforces ideals such as love, peace, unity, and selflessness.

Mr. Asenso-Boakye used the opportunity to urge constituents to continue living in harmony, supporting one another in times of need, and working collectively toward the development of the constituency and the nation.

“Our society is stronger when we are united across faiths and backgrounds,” he stated, adding that the Eid celebration reflects the spirit of togetherness that underpins national progress.

He concluded by extending Eid greetings to the Muslim community, offering prayers for peace, prosperity, and blessings for families, the constituency, and Ghana as a whole.
