A mad rush for aprons, artistically branded with the image of Lawyer Kofi Obiri Yeboah, NPP’s parliamentary candidate for Subin Constituency characterised a health screening exercise held on Friday, 30th August, 2024.

The low-key health screening carried out by the NPP Medical Groups turned titillating as traders at Asafo market after spotting the candidate in his private vehicle, hurriedly engulfed the car to grab their share of the protective clothing.

Lawyer Kofi Obiri Yeboah was welcomed by a similar gesture same day by traders at Aful Nkwanta market, where a similar health screening exercise was ongoing through his facilitation.

Commenting on the traders’ action, the parliamentary candidate told newsmen that the rush for his branded aprons showcases their (traders) love for him and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

He explained that, the gesture reciprocates the level of respect and humility he exercises towards them, coupled with the number of developmental interventions he has rolled out in the Constituency.

“They therefore feel enthusiastic putting on my aprons and this shows that they have accepted me and Dr. Bawumia”, he remarked.

Lawyer Kofi Obiri Yeboah said he is sure of winning between 80 to 86 percent of the total vote cast come December 7th.

He premised the foregoing on his cordial relationship with electorates, an ongoing construction of a jumbo astro-turf at Asem school park among others.

The funding of the construction of the astro-turf is from his private coffers and it’s on record to be the largest in Ashanti region after completion.

Health Screening

Lawyer Kofi Obiri Yeboah remarked that the health screening indicates that NPP is sensitive to the health of Ghanaians.

The exercise according to him is focused at bringing medical care to the doorsteps of electorates and positioning them well for the upcoming general elections.

Addressing the media, Dr. Philip Gyimah (Team Leader for NPP Medical Groups) underscored the screening as a nationwide exercise, covering all forms of health conditions.
