A Ghanaian prophet, Prophet Mensah, has issued a stern seven-day ultimatum to rapper Sarkodie, demanding an apology to President John Dramani Mahama over a controversial comment.

The incident stems from a cryptic post Sarkodie shared on his Instagram story on January 9, 2025, two days after Mahama’s swearing-in as president.

The rapper wrote, “Back to gari soakings like we never left,” a remark that quickly sparked heated reactions online.

While some defended the comment as harmless and non-political, others interpreted it as a jab at the new administration.

Prophet Mensah is among those who view the remark as disrespectful to President Mahama.

In a video circulating on social media, the prophet is seen boiling herbs in a bucket over a fire, claiming it symbolizes his spiritual wrath.

He warned that if Sarkodie doesn’t apologize within seven days, he would cast extreme poverty on the rapper and his family.

The prophet’s dramatic declaration has added a new layer of controversy to the already divided opinions surrounding Sarkodie’s post.

While many fans dismiss the threat as baseless, others are calling for the rapper to clarify or retract his statement to avoid further backlash.
