Claim by President Akufo-Addo, that the content of controversial “Agyapade3” document is fake has been rebutted by Mr Daniel Ohene Agyekum, Executive Council Member of the National Democratic Congress NDC.
Addressing the media at his residence on Monday, 5th August, 2024 in Kumasi, Ohene Agyekum who doubles as a former Ashanti regional Chairman for NDC said he has on several occasions read the document carefully.
“This document is authentic and represents a very diabolical scheme by a very small group of individuals from Kyebi.
The expression ‘Akim mafia is wrong. It’s not an ‘Akim mafia’ but ‘Kyebi mafia”.
He further said the document “provides a clear evidence of the intentions and what Akufo-Addo and his brand of NPP have sought to do”.
Ohene Agyekum mentioned at the media engagement that he intercepted the document way back 2007 and that every single policy or activity that has happened in Ghana since Akufo-Addo took over as President is a manifestation of all that the document contains.
“If Akufo-Addo and his Kyebi cohorts say that this document is fake, then I want the public to examine closely the booklet and tell me that what I am saying doesn’t make sense”, he challenged.
“…if somebody sat down to fabricate the content of the document, then that person must be a Prophet. He would be among the greatest Prophets that the Bible has ever spoken about”.
Ohene Agyekum told the media that the content of the document needs to be exposed “because it affects my destiny, yours and that of future generation”.
He added that “what I am seeking to do today is to call for a national societal discussion of what this book contains…My party in opposition wouldn’t have the time to write these things”.
