The District Chief Executive for Afigya Kwabre South, Hon. Christian Adu-Poku made a distribution of 200 bags of cement on Tuesday, 20th August, 2024.
The gesture was carried out to support two communities within his jurisdiction: Ntiri Buoho and Ejuratia for the construction of a Senior High School and a police station respectively.
Each community received 100 bags of cement.
It adds up to similar and numerous support offered to a number of communities by the government official since he assumed office as the District Chief Executive Officer.
Aside the foregoing, Kodie community has also benefitted from the district assembly under his able leadership.
Hon. Christian Adu Poku, DCE for Afigya Kwabre South District in an exclusive interview with www.leakyghana.com described as unprecedented, the magnitude of developmental support enjoyed by Kodie under the NPP-led administration.
According the him, the party will do more for the community and that through his able facilitation, Kodie will soon rob shoulders with enviable communities in Ashanti region.
A catalogue of projects executed within the community as highlighted by him include;
District Assembly block (completed)
Police bungalow for District Police Commander and District Health Director (completed)
Community Center project under middle belt development authority (ongoing)
District Court project including judge bungalow (completed)
Schools infrastructure project (almost completed)
Completion of D/A school block by PKB Enterprise
Turning of old cocoa shed into skill training for the youth
Completion of a market building
A soon-to-be constructed astro turf among others.
The assembly through the able leadership of Hon. Christian Adu Poku is set to relocate the present commercial lorry station to a new terminal and also reshape roads at Kodie to make them motorable.
He told this medium that it is crystal clear that Kodie has not been neglected by NPP in terms of developmental projects as perceived by detractors.
He said the NPP-led government through the assembly has made significant stride in providing infrastructural development, which is helping improve the living conditions of the people at Kodie and Afigya Kwabre South district by extension.
