

President John Dramani Mahama has extended a call to the Seventh-day Adventist Church to deepen its partnership with the government, particularly in the key areas of health, education—especially Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET)—and agribusiness.

The President made the appeal during a courtesy call paid on him by the leadership of the Adventist Church.


The high-powered delegation, led by Pastor Dr. Chris Annan Nunoo, Executive Secretary of the Southern Ghana Union Conference, congratulated President Mahama on his re-election and prayed with him, reaffirming the Church’s longstanding commitment to national development.




“The Adventist Church has always stood as a dependable partner in Ghana’s progress, particularly through its impactful work in education, healthcare, and rural development,” President Mahama noted. “We believe there’s more we can achieve together—especially in empowering the youth through TVET and agribusiness.”

Pastor Dr. Annan Nunoo, speaking on behalf of the delegation, expressed the Church’s readiness to collaborate with the government through its development wing, the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA), and other institutions under its umbrella. He emphasized the Church’s willingness to contribute meaningfully in youth development, healthcare delivery, and agricultural innovation.
