A Visit to Fiji National University’s Nasinu Campus; Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka Writes…

Last Friday, I had the pleasure of visiting the Fiji National University’s Nasinu Campus, where I encouraged our future leaders to pursue quality education as their key to navigating societal changes and achieving success in life.

As I spoke with the students, I emphasized the vital role education plays in shaping our future. I reminded them that change is inevitable, but with determination, resilience, and the guidance of dedicated educators, they can overcome any challenges and reach their goals.

“You are in an institution of learning, being taught by those who have walked this path. Change is natural. There is always a path to recovery; do not give up, keep going and graduate. The sky is not the limit for you but heaven is.”

I was honored by the full traditional ceremony of welcome presented by the university staff and the warm reception led by Fiji National University Vice-Chancellor, Professor Unaisi Nabobo-Baba.

I thank Professor Nabobo-Baba for her dedication and leadership in advancing higher education in Fiji. Her commitment to aligning FNU’s goals with our government’s vision is truly commendable.

Together, let us build a nation where education empowers every Fijian to reach their fullest potential.
