Traders at Kumasi Race course market have thanked the National Executive Council (NEC) of NPP for approving the selection of Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh a.k.a “Napo” and climaxing it with his outdooring as the Vice Presidential candidate.
They have also thanked the flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for choosing Dr. Napo out of the many persons who expressed interest in the position.
Before the foregoing, the club made an earlier call on Bawumia to select Napo as his choice for the running mate position.
They immediately followed it up with a demand for the approval of the selection of Napo.
Expressing gratitude at a press briefing held on Wednesday at Race course, the traders who are members of NAPO Fun Club, said the selection of Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh and his colourful outdooring marks the beginning of the victory of NPP in the upcoming 2024 general elections.
Obaapanin Akoma- leader of the club and Elder Kwame Dappah, Organiser jointly mentioned that they believe Dr. Napo will not disappoint Dr. Bawumia and the NPP
They also expressed optimism that Dr. Napo will prove to his critics that all the good things that were said about him, hence his selection are his true nature.
As a club they promised to do their best to maximize votes for the party so as to help retain NPP in governance.
