Ghana’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has paid glowing tribute to the late highlife legend Daddy Lumba, describing him as “Ghana’s creative arts ambassador par excellence.”

In an emotional moment at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Ablakwa, accompanied by senior management, visited the family of the late music icon to extend the government’s official condolences. He also signed the book of condolence in honour of the celebrated artist, whose death has left the nation in mourning.

“Ghana’s finest ambassadors are not only those who make it to the staff list of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Daddy Lumba was Ghana’s creative arts ambassador par excellence,” the Minister said a statement, shared on his official Facebook page.

“His musical prowess earned Ghana global renown as many across the world fell in love with authentic Ghanaian highlife and our country’s unrivaled cultural tapestry.”
