In a heartfelt message shared on his official Facebook page today, Hon. Ablakwa extended appreciation to world leaders, religious figures, and international organizations for standing with Ghana during what he described as the country’s “darkest moment of heart-wrenching grief.”

“Ghana is immensely grateful to world leaders, Pope Leo XIV, UN Secretary-General, AU, ECOWAS, EU, foreign ministers, ambassadors, high commissioners and heads of international organisations for standing shoulder to shoulder with Ghana,” the statement read.

The Minister also acknowledged the presence of high-profile international dignitaries who traveled to Ghana to pay their respects and offer condolences in person.

“We thank all our distinguished international guests who came to mourn with us,” he stated.

Hon. Ablakwa highlighted the wave of condolence messages received from across the globe through various channels, including phone calls, official statements, and diplomatic communications, noting the emotional support these gestures provided to the Ghanaian people.

“Ghanaians deeply appreciate the wave of global solidarity, kind thoughts and prayers,” he said, emphasizing that such acts of compassion will never be forgotten. “Ghana will never ever forget our friends across the world.”
