In a heartfelt show of solidarity and respect, Member of Parliament for Bantama Constituency, Hon. Francis Asenso-Boakye, joined former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and other dignitaries on Thursday afternoon to pay a condolence visit to the family of the late Ghanaian music icon, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba.

The delegation visited the late musician’s residence to express their sympathies to the bereaved family and to honour the monumental impact Daddy Lumba had on Ghana’s music and cultural heritage.

“His music touched generations and his influence on Ghanaian culture remains unmatched,” Hon. Asenso-Boakye remarked in a statement pasted on his official Facebook page following the visit. “May his soul rest in perfect peace.”

Daddy Lumba, whose career spanned over three decades, is widely regarded as one of the greatest highlife musicians in Ghana’s history. His passing has sparked a national outpouring of grief and reflection on a life that shaped the soundtrack of a nation.
