The Forestry Commission (FC) has issued a strong public warning about fraudulent recruitment advertisements and letters being circulated online and on social media, falsely claiming to be from the Commission.

In an official statement released on Tuesday, the Commission made it clear that it is not currently conducting any recruitment exercise and described the messages as the work of “unscrupulous individuals” attempting to deceive and extort money from the public under false pretenses.

“The Forestry Commission does not charge any fees for recruitment,” the statement read. “All official job announcements are published through recognized media channels, our official website (www.fcghana.org), and our verified social media accounts.”
The FC urged the public to remain vigilant and disregard any unofficial job offers or recruitment notices. It also emphasized that it is working closely with law enforcement agencies to track and prosecute those behind the scams.

Members of the public with information related to the fake recruitment activities are encouraged to report to the nearest police station or contact the Commission directly through its verified platforms or hotlines:
+233 (0) 302 401210, +233 (0) 302 401227, or +233 (0) 302 401216.
The statement was issued by the Corporate Affairs & Media Relations Unit of the Forestry Commission, whose mission is “to leave future generations and their communities with richer, better, more valuable forestry and wildlife endowments than we inherited.”
