The Mayor of Accra, Hon. Michael Kpakpo Allotey, has encouraged revenue collectors of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) to intensify their collection efforts to help accelerate the city’s development and improve staff welfare.

According to the Mayor, the consistent mobilisation of adequate revenue remains critical to funding essential infrastructure projects, improving public services, and boosting the morale of Assembly workers.

Mayor Allotey encouraged the collectors on Thursday at the Accra City Hall during his routine early morning visits and interactions with staff and visitors at the Assembly’s premises to directly connect and monitor the progress of key operational activities.

He noted that revenue collectors should not be limited by perceived boundaries in the discharge of their duties, stressing that the scope of collection should be as extensive as the law allows to ensure no eligible revenue is left uncollected.
