Kumasi Dealers in Second-hand Clothing have declared a massive support for Ghana’s former Education Minister, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, describing him as the best man for NPP’s 2028 flagbearship position.
They are of the firm believe that, his humility, vision, commitment to work and the stellar delivery he showcased in the education ministry, which birthed iconic interventions such as STEM and TVET will facilitate the swift victory of the party when voted for to lead the party.
Addressing the newsmen on Monday, the traders who are die-hard members of NPP underscored that among the lists of individuals who have expressed interest for the enviable position, Dr. Adutwum stands tall, saying they come no where close to him in terms of political capabilities.
A trader called Georgina Osei, cited that, the instrumentality of Dr. Adutwum was what added much value to NPP’s Free Education initiative after he took over from Hon. Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh a.k.a Napo.
She asserted that, electing him as the flagbearer and ultimately, the President of Ghana will address havoc done to the policy by the current NDC government.
“We need him as our flagbearer and President to restore the good image of Free Education policy”, she pleaded.
David Osei Kuffour, Executive Member of Ashanti Second-hand Shoe Sellers Association, added that education establishments of Dr. Adutwum in the diaspora, coupled with his performance in the education sector “clearly show he deserves the position”.
He therefore urged all delegates of NPP to offer him the needed support for the flagbearship position.
