Dr. Bryan Acheampong’s rise to power and prominence has been remarkable but not easy.
Currently, the party is polarized, his candidature assures us of a more united front, and the surest bet to secure election victory 2028.
Dr. Bryan Acheampong developed his diplomatic training when he moved from Ghana to pursue education in USA.
He also served in the American Military and returned to Ghana to work within the private industry and supported the New Patriotic Party at the national office where he worked within Jake O. Lamptey’s office for several years and for two former presidents under the NPP administration.
He completed more training in law, information systems and technology, real estate, and hotel industry.
He spends time working on his farms, numerous hotels, and other successful real estate businesses. He takes public service very seriously as demonstrated in his many projects within Abetifi where he is the Member of Parliament for over a decade.
He has supported many party events and continue to support the day-to-day operations of the party at the local, regional and national level.
In return for his allegiance to the New Patriotic Party he was ultimately appointed the Agric Minister and held other strategic appointment along with his legislative work at Abetifi Kwahu. Many admire him because he is one of the most accomplished and successful public service persons in Ghana’s history.
As a Member of Parliament, Dr. Acheampong advocated for many improvement for Ghana, such as national roads and network connecting the major cities, Tamale, Takoradi, Accra, Nkawkaw, Sunyani, Kumasi, Ho and others.
He pushed for industrialization of agriculture and the advancement of our youth and our competence as a nation within the information systems and technology space.
Most of his proposals have been ahead of his time and now must be seriously looked at for the development and advancement of Ghana and our youth. As chairman of Foreign Affairs Committee, he influenced virtually every aspect of Ghana foreign and domestic policies causing substantial cultural and social economic changes.
Dr. Acheampong continues to endure himself to the people with his plain talk, charming smile, intelligence, and sense of confidence. We are certain he will strengthen established programs and launch very important new ones. There has been problems and failures as well as achievements during his long service to the New Patriotic Party. His interest in public affairs and in politics has always been keen. We see him as a distinguished legislator who has served for four consecutive terms. His campaign to make him president, will be carefully nurtured by the grassroot, friends in the diaspora and within Ghana and a high degree of political astuteness. We watched how he manoeuvred nicely, to get confirmation as minister within the last government. We believe that the extent of his popularity in the various regions and the foreign countries including the diaspora will be a plus for our work at hand.
His campaign will be in a manner that seriously avoid internal rifts and will stress consistently on the need to be patriotic and to push hard for party and country. Dr. Acheampong has always worked for the people before we won elections and during the time in power and beyond. He has managed to accomplish a great deal of projects and is noted for the huge Rock City Hotel in the Eastern Region and Ashanti Region. He remains a strong champion of youth interest and has always stood firmly against the opposition party. He consistently works to project the party. In many instances when people gave up or relinquished all hope of saving the party, Dr. Acheampong would show up and bring very powerful solutions.
A fervent advocate of individual constituencies, and rights and has vigorously opposed any attempt to reduce the rights of grass root and our youth. Dr. Acheampong feels that for a young nation like Ghana to expand and prosper we will need to operate a strong government capable of developing infrastructure to support a growing country. He also believes in a strong standing army to defend Ghana’s commercial interest. We are certain that a new beginning will help salvage the party and bring us out of our current predicament. With Dr. Bryan Acheampong, we are assured a one touch victory in 2028.
