The Mayor of Kumasi, Hon. Richard Ofori Agyeman Boadi, was today honored with a ceremonial Guard of Honour by the Metro Guard.

The ceremony marked a significant occasion in the mayor’s tenure, symbolizing his full assumption of duties as the Mayor of Kumasi.

As part of the welcome ceremony, the mayor’s chain of office was formally placed on him.

A 30-man contingent of the Metro Guard, led by Sergeant Asamoah Mensah, proudly paraded in full color party display to mark this significant occasion. The ceremonial parade was a testament to the respect and dignity of the mayor’s office.

The mayor was guided through the day’s ceremonial activities by the Metro Coordinating Director, Mr. Francis Dwira Darko. Mr. Darko presented the Handing over report to the mayor, ensuring a smooth transition of duties.

As part of the ceremony, the mayor was formally introduced to the various heads of departments and units. This introduction marked the beginning of his tenure as the Mayor of Kumasi, and he is expected to work closely with these departments to deliver on his promises to the people of Kumasi.
