The Asanteman Nifa Fekuo had confirmed the death of the Chief of the area, Nana Boakye Ansah Debrah.
He died in South Africa on Thursday, 20th February, 2025, few days after the passing of his mother who was the queen for the area.
Addressing the media on Tuesday, 18th March, 2024, Nana Boakye Yam Ababio, Chief of Nkwantakese said the one week funeral observation of the late Chief and Queen will be held jointly on 10th April, 2025 at the traditional palace of Asokore Mampong.
Nana Boakye Ansah is hailed as a visionary leader whose traditional administration fueled the swift progress of Asokore Mampong.
His reign has transformed Asokore Mampong into a first class residential area in Ashanti region.
He ruled for 38 years, having sworn allegiance to Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
