Renowned philanthropist, Mensah Adu Gyamfi has put up a 24-hour medical facility at Okyerekrom of the Ejisu Municipality.
The NHIS accredited facility, licensed by officials of Health Facility Regulatory Authority (HFRA), called SOMPA Mensah Medical Centre was commissioned on Thursday, 6th March, 2025.
Reason behind its establishment is to address the absence of a medical center in the community and offer an up-to-speed health care delivery to people within its catchment area.
Gracing the commissioning were staff of the Municipal Health Directorate, Health Facilities Regulatory Authority (HFRA), opinion leaders, etc.
Regional Director for HFRA, Paul Gyan in his address described the facility as timely and a laudable intervention since it supports government’s efforts towards ensuring that all Ghanaians have access to health care.
He admitted the center has been licensed by HFRA and has been approved to offer medical services.
Speaking on behalf of the Municipal Health Director, Eric Twumasi thanked Mr. Mensah for citing the location of the center within the Ejisu Municipality.
He urged residents to make good use of the center by visiting it frequently for medical check ups.
The CEO, Mr. Mensah Adu Gyamfi indicated in his address that the commissioned facility is a fulfillment of a vision he had 15 years ago.
He indicated that through divine promptenings and God’s provision, he decided to convert his multi-million mansion into a medical center.
“I spent over millions of Ghana cedis in putting up this mansion and I’ve given it out to offer medical services to humanity.”
