The NPP Women’s wing of the Ejisu constituency is restrategizing to maximize votes for victory come 2028 general elections.

They had a meeting on Thursday, 6th February, 2024 at the Constituency party office, aimed at encouraging members, flaring up passion and dedication for the party and forging for a united front for vote maximization.

The occasion was organized by the constitutency Women’s Organiser for the area, Hon. Vida Adjei-Boateng.

It was turned into a titillating occasion by a dinner that characterized meeting.

The foregoing came up as a cue from the nationwide apathy that shipwrecked the electoral fortunes of the party, leading to NPP’s humiliating defeat during the 2024 general elections.

Speaking at the occasion, Hon. Vida attributed the defeat of NPP to low turn out, saying “NPP did not win because majority of NPPs did not vote. If all had voted our party would have won”

She underlined division within the party ranks as another factor that called to play the defeat of the party.

“But all is not lost”, she encouraged the members.

Turning up the occasion, Nana Achiaa (Adakogyaakye Kyidom Hemaa) in her address castigated supporters of the party who sometimes get peeved even by the slightest error committed by the leadership.

She stated that Ghanaians are happy when NPP is in power “due to the good policies and projects implemented.”

“But they easily get peeved and discouraged by the slightest act of non-performance by NPP government and fail to vote for the party in a general election”, she added.

She recalled the litany of projects that were put up and commissioned by the NPP Nana Addo-led administration, saying “because Nana Addo did not put monies in their pockets they are saying Akufo-Addo did not perform.”

Nana Achiaa registered her displeasure strongly against the above, saying “this should not be the reason one should not vote for NPP.

This is a bad attitude because whenever NPP is in power, it does so much for the country.”
