The Chief for Amakye Bare, Nana Gyedu Kumanini IV has underscored economic empowerment of youth and the development of Asanteman as key areas that have fueled his interest to contest in the upcoming Council of State Elections, slated for 11th February, 2024.

The latter brings to mind a document on the blueprint of the Asantehene regarding the Ashanti region’s development which President John Dramani Mahama was copied by the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

Nana Gyedu Kumanini IV has indicated that aside advising the President to discharge his duties effectively, he will offer him ideas that will enable him fulfill the Asantehene’s blueprint and lead a country onto the path of growth and sustainability when he is elevated to the council.

He told www.leakyghana.com that “I will not just be part of the bureaucratic set up governance but I will work assiduously for a development that is in alignment with Ashanti region’s development plan and Ghana by extension.”

Nana Gyedu Kumanini IV filed his nomination at the Ashanti regional office of the Electoral Commission on Thursday, placing 6th position on the ballot after successfully going through the ballot process.

 

He is an ardent believer of the assertion that the future of every region or nation depends on the youth and for that reason will lobby assiduously so that young people of Asanteman receive the needed support to develop the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in the world of work.

Nana Gyedu Kumanini IV is of the strong opinion that ensuring that the potentials of all young people of Asanteman and Ghana are unlocked through access to decent work will drive progress towards sustainable, inclusive development.

Per his observation, a number of youth in the region are lagging behind with regards to acquisition of productive and fulfilling employment.

“For this reason I will champion for the implementation of more youth economic empowerment projects in Ashanti region when I am on the council”, he assured after filing his nomination.
