NPP ‘loudmouthed’ Communicator, Awal Mohammed has critiqued the appointment of Mr. Mohammed Abdul Salam as the CEO for NLA.
His assertion is that, if Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, 2024 flagbearer for the NPP was criticized by the NDC for visiting churches and shrines to solicit for during during the 2024 campaign period, same should be done to the NDC for giving a Muslim a position which strongly contradicts the principles of Islam.
According to Islamic scholars, the teachings of Islam prohibits gambling and games of chances, labeling them as a grace sin.
Prophet Mohammed also warned against participating in games of Chances.
The prophet Mohammed (SAW) said “whoever plays with dice, it is as if he has dipped his hand in the flesh and blood of a pig.” (Sahih Muslim).
Awal Mohammed is clearly not happy with the long silence of Islamic clerics and why they have until now not expressed the displeasure.

Imagine if Dr. Bawumia had won the elections and appointed a Muslim there. I don’t think we can have breathing space in this country.
