On the final day of the Bloomberg CityLab, where many amazing things are happening. I had the opportunity of meeting and dinning with Michael Bloomberg.
I expressed my sincere gratitude to him for the invitation and also thanked him for the support. I used the opportunity to explain the present situation of my city in brief.
As we continued with the program, we had break away sessions which gave us the opportunity to learn more from each other and to talk about our future projects.
Am happy to say that Banjul is qualified for the next stage of the Youth Climate Action Fund which was announced today. In another development, Banjul will also be competing in the Bloomberg Mayors challenge for one million dollars with other hundreds of cities in the coming months.
We ask for your prayers. Once again my sincere thanks to the mayor of Mexico, my very own sister for hosting us in her dynamic city and the Bloomberg Team for their warm hospitality, as well as the efforts to strengthen mayors through their great ideas.
