I am presently in Spain attending the United Democratic Party (UDP) convention as we gather here to review our progress, assess our challenges, raise funds and most importantly network and seek valuable inputs from members in order to shape the future of our dear party.
I wish to sincerely thank the organizers of this first ever United Democratic Party convention bringing together the diasporas especially the able Chairman Mr. Mbooge Saidykhan for a well organized and successful event which is really one of it’s kind.
As a member of the United Democratic Party, it is both an honor and a privilege to be part of the delegation invited to accompany the Party Leadership to the convention comprising of Her Excellency Yamundow Yabou, President of the Party; H.E. Alagie Ousainu Darbou, The Party Leader and Flag Bearer; Mr. Memba Tamendou, one of the Founding Fathers of the Party; Mr. Amadou Sanneh, Treasurer of the Party and Mr Yakuba Darbou, Chairman of West Coast Region.
At United Democratic Party, we believe firmly that the insights, suggestions, and inputs coming from the party members are essential to the success of the party and together, we will chart a common course that leads to a more sustainable, resilient, and prosperous UDP that we can all be proud of.
Our priorities are guided by the principles of equity, unity, sustainability, and resilience for a better and peaceful Gambia.
I once again thank the organizers and all my comrades for their commitment and dedication to the future of a better Gambia. To the Spain Chairman – Mr Gitteh and his team, we are most grateful for the warm hospitality. We truly appreciate.
