Krobea Asante says the NDC party has decided not to participate in any IEA debate should it take place in the country.
Krobea Asante, a loyal member of the New Democratic Congress (NDC) since 2007, revealed on Thursday, August 8, during the Maakye Program on Kessben Fm, that the party has decided not to participate in the IEA debate when asked by host Kwabena Owusu Dankwa if the NDC would join the debate if it were to take place.
He emphatically stated that the party would not be involved. According to Krobea Asante, the NDC has been focused on campaigning and delivering their messages directly to the citizens of Ghana, which they consider more important than participating in debates.
He also claimed that many Ghanaians support the party’s decision to forego debates and instead engage with the public directly. “If we have any debate, it will be with Ghanaians,” he emphasized.
Krobea Asante reiterated that the decision not to participate in the IEA debate was a collective agreement within the party.
“The NDC party has decided not to go for the IEA debate; it is the party’s decision, and we all agree with it. If there should be any debate, we will do it with the citizens of Ghana. We have been campaigning, and that’s the most important thing. Ghanaians know our campaign messages,” he stated.
