I swore into office today, newly appointed Board Chairman of the Electricity Company of Ghana, Hon. Alexander Afenyo-Markin, MP for Effutu and Majority Leader, together with newly appointed Board Member, Hon. Habib Iddrissu, MP for Tolon and Deputy Majority Chief Whip.
As I bow out of the Ministry of Energy, I charged the new Board Chairman to work assiduously to make the ECG a company worth its salt in the economic growth of our country.
I am confident that Hon. Afenyo-Markin, supported by the Board, will bring his leadership experiences to bear in steering the affairs of the company.
