Boxers selected for the much awaited third boxing competition dubbed “Showdown in Kumasi” underwent a successful weighing on Thursday, 4th July, 2024.
This was done ahead of the contest which is happening on Friday, 5th July, 2024 at the SG Mall in Kumasi, the capital of the Ashanti Region.
The Showdown boxing competition will feature Stanley Nyantakyi a.k.a “Ashanti Warrior” against experienced Isaac Nettey a.k.a “Messiah” for the UBO Intercontinental Featherweight tittle.
Undefeated John Zile will also be facing veteran boxer Emmanuel Quartey who is popularly called “Akuffo Addo” for the UBO International Bantamweight tittle.
Other fighters will also be competing at the event.
Organizing body for contest is Osibor Boxing Promotions and Management.
UBO feather weight championship between “Ashanti Warrior” and “Messiah” has been tipped by organisers as the main event for the night.
Addressing the media after a successful weighing, Stanley Nyantakyi challenged boxing fans to expect a good fight from him.
With a record of winning two tittles which are the UBO and a National tittle, he expressed hope of emerging as the winner of tomorrow’s fight.
