The leadership of the Assemblies of GOD Church paid a courtesy visit to Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh; the man who has been tipped by many as the soon to be outdoored running mate of Dr. Bawumia.
The team was led by their General Superintendent Rev Dr. Stephen Yenusom Wengam.
Discussing the nexus between politics and religion, the Energy Minister a.k.a Dr. Napo told the team of clergy that the two, though distinct, are intertwined in their impact on society.
Dr. Napo underlined that political leadership must draw from the moral and ethical guidance provided by religious teachings to foster a just, compassionate and inclusive society.
Dr. Napo noted that the values of integrity, empathy, and service, which are central to both political and religious leadership, should be the cornerstone of their collaboration.
Sharing his remarks on the engagement on social media, he scribbled that ” I am grateful to Rev. Wengam and his team of pastors for the intercessory prayers said for the political leadership of our country and, me personally, during their visit. God bless them”.
